  1. A skua is a dark-coloured gull-like seabird, 
  2. family Stercorariidae, living in Arctic and 
  3. Antarctic waters. Skuas can grow up to 60cm 
  4. (2ft) long and are good fliers. They are 
  5. aggressive scavengers, and seldom fish for 
  6. themselves but force gulls to disgorge their 
  7. catch, and also eat chicks of other birds.
